Designer Overview

Designer is the Disguise software to design, visualise, sequence and run visual experiences for creative industries including live, location based experiences and virtual production.

Designer enables you to design, configure, and present your show using your own laptop or desktop computer, and then transfer to a Disguise media server for showtime. In production rehearsals, Designer also allows you to multi-edit the show from your laptop. Designer on Disguise Servers

Designer is the core software which powers the Disguise media servers. Disguise servers are supplied fully licensed for Designer. Designer can be upgraded on Disguise servers using the Designer Full installer.

Designer for PC or laptop

There are two Designer options available for users working on a PC or laptop:

• Designer Starter, which is ideal for learning and evaluating. It is free to use, provided you have a Disguise Cloud account which is used to sign in to d3Manager, the Designer launcher. Designer Starter has a specific Designer Starter installer.
• Designer Pro, which is for programming and editing projects that will be running on a Disguise server. This requires a paid license subscription which is obtained through Disguise Cloud. Designer Pro uses the Designer Full installer.
