Disguise X1 Licensing Features

Disguise X1 can join a d3Net session with other X1 instances as a Non-Dedicated Director, or as an Understudy for 1-to-1 redundancy with another X1 instance.
Disguise X1 can be assigned the role of an Editor in any d3net session. Disguise X1 can also have a PC or laptop join an active d3Net session as an Editor, providing that the PC or laptop is on a Designer Pro plan.
Disguise X1 cannot be assigned the role of an Actor in any d3net session. This means that a user cannot add multiple X1 instances to a session to synchronise multiple outputs at any one time. In addition, Disguise X1 cannot join a d3Net session with other Disguise media servers as a Director or Understudy.
Output Settings
Section titled “Output Settings”Applying Feed Settings is not supported on the Disguise X1. Output configuration on Disguise X1 will need to be completed using the GPU Control Panel. The output head will show as red in the feed view until its settings in Designer match the configuration within the GPU Control Panel, at which point it will show as green.

Graphic User Interface (GUI)
Section titled “Graphic User Interface (GUI)”Users can output the Designer GUI from a dedicated output at up to 4K DCI resolution on their custom node.
Input Settings
Section titled “Input Settings”Physical video input sources at up to 12 Gbps are supported. These can be patched using the Video Input Editor in Designer providing a capture card is installed on the custom node used with an X1 instance. Please refer to the Recommended Hardware Specification below for recommended capture cards.
Users can additionally input NDI sources into Disguise X1.
Users can configure DMX output from Disguise X1.
Users can configure MIDI output from Disguise X1.
Full audio is enabled from Disguise X1.
Feed Movies
Section titled “Feed Movies”Users can render feed movies with no watermark from Disguise X1.
OmniCal
Section titled “OmniCal”Users can leverage the use of OmniCal for camera-based projection calibration with Disguise X1.
Notch layers can run on Disguise X1. To remove the watermark, a Notch playback license must be installed on a CodeMeter USB License Key. Notch playback licenses are not included with Disguise X1 and must be purchased directly from Notch.
RenderStream
Section titled “RenderStream”Disguise X1 can be used to run with RenderStream workloads with RX range nodes or validated third-party render nodes.
To run RenderStream Uncompressed on an X1 instance you will need:

- A valid RX range node(s) or validated third-party render node(s) with an active RenderStream license on the node(s).
- A Mellanox NIC installed on the node used by Disguise X1, with a valid Rivermax license purchased from Disguise.
A form will need to be completed by the customer, including providing the model and serial number of any Mellanox NIC(s) that require a Rivermax license to be purchased from Disguise. The Rivermax license is tied to the serial number of the NIC and is non-transferable to other NICs. The requirement for both a Mellanox NIC and a Rivermax license is also applicable to enable support for SMPTE ST 2110 video inputs.

To run RenderStream Compressed with Disguise X1 you will need:
Section titled “To run RenderStream Compressed with Disguise X1 you will need:”- A valid Disguise X1 license on the X1 node.
- A valid RX range node(s) or validated third-party render node(s) with an active RenderStream license on the node(s).
RenderStream Local, where the RenderStream workload is run locally on the same node as Disguise X1, will also be supported when available in a future Designer software version. A RenderStream license is required to enable functionality without a watermarked output, and can be issued onto the CodeMeter USB License Key used by Disguise X1.
To run RenderStream Local with Disguise X1 you will need:
