Generating diagnostic archives
d3Manager allows you to create diagnostic zips. A diagnostic zip is a zip file containing all relevant files need for diagnosing any issues with the software. When contacting support, we may ask you for this file.
A project diagnostic zip contains:
Section titled “A project diagnostic zip contains:”- The entire project excluding the VideoFile and the DxTexture folder. Please send these separately in case they might help to debug your issue.
- Console files.
A system diagnostic zip contains:
Section titled “A system diagnostic zip contains:”- Hardware, system and licensing information about the machine.
Create a diagnostic zip on your local machine
Section titled “Create a diagnostic zip on your local machine”- Open d3Manager.
- Select the project name.
- Go to the Help menu and choose Create project/system diagnostic.
- The diagnostic zip file will be created in you projects folder.

Create a system diagnostic for a remote machine
Section titled “Create a system diagnostic for a remote machine”- Open d3Manager.
- Go to the Network tab.
- Select the machine you would like to create a diagnostic from.
- Right-click on the machine.
- Click Create System Diagnostic on selected machines.
The diagnostic zip file will be created in you projects folder of the remote machine in the following location:
%localappdata%/d3/SystemDiagnostics
The quickest way to get to this is as follows:
- In the Network tab of d3Manager, double-click the machine where you created the remote System Diagnostic.
- Navigate to the d3 Logs section.
- Open the System Diagnostic logs.
