IP-VFC - Ports

IP-VFC cards feature four rear ports:

  • 2x configured for ST 2110 network video
  • 2x for 12G-SDI video

Plugging a 25Gb network SFP module in to Eth0 (Port 1) allows the IP-VFC to output ST 2110 Network video.

Plugging a second 25Gb network SFP module into Eth1 (Port 2) allows the IP-VFC to output a redundant ST 2110 Network video stream. Using SMPTE 2022-7 receivers can rely on packet-level redundancy to ensure no packets are missed even in noisy networks.

You can learn more about configuring ST 2110 network video output from the IP-VFC card here.

Inserting a 12G or 3G SDI SFP module into Port 3 or Port 4 enables the IP-VFC to output an SDI video signal.

In the future, Port 3 and Port 4 will support dual 3G-SDI SFP modules for Quad mode output, like a Quad Split SDI SFP module, but this functionality is not currently supported.
