Designer Pro

Designer Pro brings a host of powerful new features, including major AI advancements rolling out in 2025. It offers the complete functionality of the software, enabling seamless programming and real-time editing of live projects. Users can collaborate within a session alongside Disguise servers or other Pro license instances, unlocking improved creative control and efficiency. Activation of the Designer Pro license is required.

Functionality

  • Fully featured Designer software.
  • Programme and pre-visualize projects beyond the Starter ecosystem.
  • Real-time project editing with other Disguise servers and Designer Pro instances.
  • Access to the new Plugin Framework and AI Workflow Assistant.
  • Support for uncompressed RenderStream without watermarks (requires RenderStream license and compatible hardware).

Activation and Installer

  • Installed via the standard Full Designer installer used on Disguise media servers.
  • Codemeter-based license, installable on a dongle or as a software license.
  • No d3Manager Cloud login required.
  • An internet connection is required only for initial license activation. Subscriptions require periodic online verification to automatically download monthly/annual license updates.
  • Designer Pro subscription for yourself or your team can be managed in Disguise Cloud.

Watermarks and Restrictions

  • You can open any Designer project file except one authored in Disguise Starter.
  • Designer projects created and saved in Designer Pro can be used by with Pro or Starter. However, once opened in Starter, Designer projects created or saved in Starter cannot be used by Designer Pro.
  • If you click on an object in Designer and export it from Designer Starter, it is not possible to import it into Designer Pro.
  • Designer Pro project files are saved as .d3, whereas Designer Starter project files are saved as .d3starter.
  • Feed outputs include an intermittent blue flash watermark.
  • Feed movies are watermarked with a Disguise logo. Stage movies are not watermarked.
  • Feed and Stage movies have a maximum resolution of 4096×2160 pixels (4K DCI).
  • Designer Pro and Designer Starter cannot join the same session or recognise each other on a network.
