Disguise X Series Licensing Features

Disguise X series licenses can join a d3Net session as a Non-Dedicated Director to both control the session and output video, or as an Understudy for 1-to-1 redundancy with another X series instance.
Disguise X series licenses can be assigned the role of an Editor in any d3Net session. Disguise X series licenses can also have a PC or laptop join an active d3Net session as an Editor, providing that the PC or laptop is on a Designer Pro plan.
Disguise X series licenses cannot be assigned the role of an Actor in any d3Net session. This means that a user cannot add multiple X series instances to a session to synchronise multiple outputs at any one time. In addition, Disguise X series licenses cannot join a d3Net session with other Disguise media servers as a Director or Understudy.
Output Settings
Section titled “Output Settings”Disguise X series licenses support a maximum resolution of X 4096px and a maximum resolution of Y 2400px across each available output head.

Custom resolutions can be achieved across each output head, provided that they are within the 4096 x 2400 pixel rectangle, and that the choice of GPU used with Disguise X series can be configured according to the required resolution.
Applying Feed Settings is not supported on the Disguise X series licenses. Output configuration on a Disguise X series license will need to be completed using the GPU Control Panel. The output head will show as red in the feed view until its settings in Designer match the configuration within the GPU Control Panel, at which point it will show as green.

Graphic User Interface (GUI)
Section titled “Graphic User Interface (GUI)”Users can output the Designer GUI from a dedicated output at up to 4K DCI resolution on their custom node.
Input Settings
Section titled “Input Settings”Physical video input sources are supported up to the following bandwidth:

These can be patched using the Video Input Editor in Designer, provided a capture card is installed on the custom node used with an X series instance. Please refer to the Recommended Hardware Specification for recommended capture cards.
Users can additionally input NDI® sources into Disguise X series licenses.
Users can configure DMX output from Disguise X series licenses.
Users can configure MIDI output from Disguise X series licenses.
Full audio is enabled from Disguise X series licenses.
Feed Movies
Section titled “Feed Movies”Users can render feed movies with no watermark from Disguise X series licenses.
OmniCal
Section titled “OmniCal”Users can leverage the use of OmniCal for camera-based projection calibration with Disguise X series licenses.
Notch layers can run on Disguise X series licenses. To remove the watermark, a Notch playback license must be installed on a CodeMeter License Dongle. Notch playback licenses are not included with Disguise X series licenses and must be purchased directly from Notch.
RenderStream
Section titled “RenderStream”Disguise X series licenses can be used to run with RenderStream workloads with RX range nodes or validated third-party render nodes.
To run RenderStream Uncompressed on an X series license instance you will need:
Section titled “To run RenderStream Uncompressed on an X series license instance you will need:”- A valid Disguise X series license on the X series node.
- A valid RX range node(s) or validated third-party render node(s) with an active RenderStream license on the node(s).
- A Mellanox NIC installed on the node used by the Disguise X series license instance, with a valid Rivermax license purchased from Disguise.
A form will need to be completed by the customer, including providing the model and serial number of any Mellanox NIC(s) that require a Rivermax license to be purchased from Disguise. The Rivermax license is tied to the serial number of the NIC and is non-transferable to other NICs. The requirement for both a Mellanox NIC and a Rivermax license is also applicable to enable support for SMPTE ST 2110 video inputs.

To run RenderStream Compressed with a Disguise X series license instance you will need:
Section titled “To run RenderStream Compressed with a Disguise X series license instance you will need:”- A valid Disguise X series license on the node.
- A valid RX range node(s) or validated third-party render node(s) with an active RenderStream license on the node(s).
RenderStream Local, where the RenderStream workload is run locally on the same node as the Disguise X series license instance, is also supported. A RenderStream license is required to enable functionality without a watermarked output, and can be issued onto the CodeMeter License Dongle used by the Disguise X series license instance.
To run RenderStream Local with Disguise X series licenses you will need:

- An active RenderStream license on the node.
License re-hosting
Section titled “License re-hosting”Disguise X series licenses cannot be re-hosted. An X series license is issued onto a specific CodeMeter License Dongle and cannot be moved to another CodeMeter License Dongle.
