Choosing a firmware version

Choosing the right firmware depends on your media server model, video transport (ST 2110 or SDI), and sync method. We recommend reviewing this information in the media server interoperability tables before updating to confirm your setup is supported.

Firmware 25.1

Supported configurations

FW 25.1 is only supported on the GX 3, in ST 2110 mode, with PTP synchronisation. It is not validated for GX 3+, VX 4+, VX 2+, or VX 3, and is not supported for SDI workflows. For any other configuration, use FW 24.4. See the IP-VFC interoperability tables for full details.

• Significant improvements to the robustness of failover on ethernet interfaces when using ST2110 with PTP
• Fixes a bug where after the link on the redundant ethernet port went down it could fail to come back up
• Fixes a bug where applying feeds with certain ST2110 formats would result in an unstable genlock signal
• Improved startup reliability
• Improved reliability of applying feeds when using PTP sync
