Manage Networked Machines
From d3Manager you can view and manage the other machines on your network: check their status, install Designer on them remotely, and open their project folders.
d3Manager network view
Section titled “d3Manager network view”The network view shows the following for each machine:
- Name
- Currently installed software version
- Hardware type
- Status
Install Designer remotely
Section titled “Install Designer remotely”You can install the build currently on your machine onto another machine on the network through d3Manager. This is useful for updating the software on Actor machines from a Director or Editor.
- Select the machine you want to install Designer on.
- Select the Install Designer remotely button.
Accessing project folders on networked machines
Section titled “Accessing project folders on networked machines”To access the projects folder on a networked machine:
- Navigate to the Network tab in the d3Net Manager.
- Select the desired active machine.
- Double-click the machine name to open its projects folder.
