Managing Subscriptions

Manage your Organisation’s subscriptions in MyDisguise: see the plans available, change or cancel a subscription, and keep track of renewals and expiry. For assigning and transferring individual licenses, see Managing Licenses.

In MyDisguise, you can sign up for the following products:

  • Designer Pro
  • Disguise X1, X2 and X3
  • Mapping Matter

Your active subscriptions can be found on the Subscriptions & Licenses page, where you can filter them by Product, status, Renewal Date and Member.

A subscription is what you own once a purchase completes. It groups the products you bought together, sharing one payment method and one set of start and renewal dates. A single subscription can carry several licenses and seats, so you can cover new people without buying again.

Each subscription in the list shows:

  • Its name, and how many products and licenses it contains. A new subscription is called Unnamed Subscription until you rename it, using the pencil beside the name.
  • Its Status.
  • Days Remaining until the renewal date.
  • Whether Auto Renew is enabled, as a toggle you can switch from the list.

Expand a subscription to see the products and licenses inside it, and who each one is assigned to.

The More menu (⋮) on a subscription holds three options: View Subscription, Edit Subscription and Cancel Subscription.

View Subscription opens a details panel for that subscription, showing:

  • Status, and Auto-Renew as a toggle.
  • Plan Type, which is the billing cycle the subscription runs on, Monthly or Yearly.
  • Next Invoice, the amount due at the next renewal.
  • Start Date and Renewal Date.

The panel also carries two buttons. Edit Subscription is a second route to the options below, and Update Payment Info changes the card the subscription renews against.

Latest Invoice sits at the foot of the panel with its date and amount, a control to download it, and View All for the rest of the invoice history.

Open the relevant subscription and select Edit Subscription, either from the More menu (⋮) or from the details panel. From there you can:

  • Add product puts a different product on the same subscription.
  • Add License(s) adds more licenses of a product it already carries.
  • Remove a product, or reduce the number of licenses on one.

Your changes are listed before you commit them, with what they cost, so you can see the financial effect before agreeing to it. They then take effect at the end of the current billing cycle, unless you enable Add Now.

Adding a license this way keeps everything on one subscription with one renewal date, rather than starting a second subscription that renews separately.

New licenses and seats still need assigning to people before anyone can use them. See Managing Licenses.

Owners and Admins can cancel a subscription from the Subscriptions & Licenses page in one of two ways:

  • Turn off Auto Renew.
  • Select Cancel Subscription from the More menu (⋮).

Regardless of the method you choose:

  • Your subscription stays active until your paid period ends.
  • You will not be billed again.
  • Unused time is not refunded.

Auto-renew is enabled by default for anything bought online, so unless you turn it off, the subscription renews on its renewal date using the card from the original purchase. You can disable it at the point of purchase, or at any time before the renewal date, and enable it again at any time before that date. Disabling it does not affect access you have already paid for.

Members cannot manage or cancel subscriptions.

Your subscription starts on the day you buy it, unless payment completes later, in which case it starts on the payment date. The first renewal date falls a full billing cycle after that, and both dates are shown at checkout before you confirm.

Days Remaining on the subscriptions list counts down to the renewal date, so you can see at a glance what is due.

Use the filters at the top of the page to narrow the list by Product, status, Renewal Date or Member. That matters once an Organisation has multiple subscriptions with different dates.

Your existing subscriptions move with you, at the same pricing, and there is nothing to migrate by hand. Disguise Cloud Studio subscriptions become Mapping Matter subscriptions, at no extra charge.
