Porta Newsroom Integration via MOS Gateway

The Newsroom Computer Systems (NRCS) integration through MOS enables more dynamic and simplified broadcast show control, while unlocking more agile collaboration across departments.
NRCS allows:
- Rundown management
- Customisable running order for content
- Playout control
- Computer-assisted machine control
- Indexing of incoming news stories and wires
MOS Gateway retains all loaded playlists, playlist and event status information. It can also distribute commands, update status, event changes and messages.
Real-time changes can be made to the rundown, and those will be synced live with Porta.
MOS Gateway and Newsroom Plugin
Section titled “MOS Gateway and Newsroom Plugin”The MOS Gateway is part of the Porta Bridge and supports the following features:
- Porta Playlist Management from the NRCS.
- Live Updates from NRCS to Porta.
- Modify and Sync Porta Playlists with NRCS.
- Live snapshot from Unreal when modifying a porta Page.
- Make pages from templates to add to Newsroom rundowns.
The Newsroom Plugin
Section titled “The Newsroom Plugin”The Newsroom plugin is a browser extension that allows you to:
- Create a Porta Page from a Newsroom template.
- Add a Porta Page to a Newsroom rundown.
- See updates to a Porta Page in real-time when using the Unreal Engine.
The URL can be accessed in the company information by the Porta system admin. The admin can set:
- NR Url: the url that is needed to connect the newsroom plugin to the NCRS
- NR sending delay(ms): the delay in milliseconds between sending messages to unreal when a change is made in a page.
- NR Preview channel: the name of the channel that is used for the live preview of the page in the newsroom.
