Get Release Notifications

This site publishes an RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed that updates whenever a new Designer release or Hardware OS image is published. You can subscribe to it by email, in Slack or in any feed reader.

What’s in the feed

• Designer releases: major, minor and hotfix releases for the current Designer versions, including long-term support versions that are still getting hotfixes.
• Hardware OS images: the latest OS image for each hardware platform.

Each entry links straight to that release’s section of the release notes or the Hardware OS images page.

Get updates by email

FeedRabbit is a free service that turns RSS feeds into emails.

1. Go to feedrabbit.com and sign up with your email address.
2. Add a new subscription and paste in https://help.disguise.one/rss.xml.
3. Choose how often you want emails:
   • Each update: one email per release.
   • Daily digest: one email a day on days with a new release.
4. Open the confirmation email from FeedRabbit and confirm your subscription.

Emails come from Disguise Product Updates, and each one lists the new releases with a link to their notes.

Note

Releases are timestamped at midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on the release date, so a daily digest usually arrives early the next morning (UTC).

To change how often you get emails or to stop them, use the Unsubscribe or change your subscription link at the bottom of any email, or sign in to FeedRabbit.

Get updates in Slack

Slack’s RSS app can post new releases to a channel.

1. Open the channel where you want the updates.
2. Type /feed subscribe https://help.disguise.one/rss.xml and press Enter.

New releases are then posted in that channel. To stop them, type /feed list to find the feed’s ID, then type /feed remove <ID>.

Note

If /feed doesn’t work, the RSS app isn’t installed in your workspace. Ask your Slack admin to add it from the Slack App Directory.

Get updates in a feed reader

Add https://help.disguise.one/rss.xml to any RSS reader, such as Feedly, Inoreader, NetNewsWire or Thunderbird. Most readers also find the feed if you enter help.disguise.one.

Troubleshooting

Problem	What to do
”No feed found”	Enter the full feed URL, https://help.disguise.one/rss.xml, instead of the site’s home page.
No emails arriving	Check that you confirmed your FeedRabbit subscription, then check your spam or junk folder. Emails only arrive when something new is published.
Emails are marked as external	This is expected. The emails are sent by FeedRabbit, not from a Disguise address.
