Search the user guide

Use the search box at the top of this page. Search covers every page in the user guide and is the quickest way to find a topic when you do not know where it lives.

Search on the name of the thing you are looking for rather than the words in the broken address. Product names work well: Designer, Mapping Matter, Porta, OmniCal, RenderStream.

Start from a section

Designer covers the software: stage setup, layers, mappings, the timeline, transports, content management and feed outputs.
Hardware covers the media servers, Video Format Conversion (VFC) cards, the System Management Controller and Fabric.
X Series covers the Disguise X Series, its licensing and its specifications.
MyDisguise covers your account, your Organisation and team, and your subscriptions and licenses.
Legacy Cloud covers Mapping Matter, Drive and Previz, and what happened to Disguise Cloud.
RenderStream covers RenderStream, RenderStream Local and the Unreal Engine, Unity, Notch and TouchDesigner integrations.
Workflows covers xR, virtual production, calibration, motion capture and 3D modelling.
Porta covers Porta, Porta Bridge and the on-premise deployment.
Release notes list every Designer release and hotfix.

Arriving from an older link

Addresses on this site changed when the user guide was rebuilt. A link saved from the previous documentation site, or one that appears in an older PDF, email or forum post, may no longer resolve. Older addresses tend to look like one of these:

They contain /docs/ or /Content/
They end in .htm or .html

Many of these are redirected automatically, but not all of them. If you have one that is not, search for the topic instead. The content is almost always still published, under a different address.

The user guide is available in English and Japanese. We add and improve content continuously.
